Basalt is an extrusive igneous rock made from the rapid cooling of lava at Earth's surface. Based on the Mohs hardness scale, basalt has a value between 5 and 6, making it harder than most sedimentary rocks.  Basalt is used in construction (e.g. as building blocks or in the groundwork), making cobblestones (from columnar basalt) and in making statues.

Before basalt is used, it must be crushed and sand-made. Therefore, a full set of basalt sand production line equipment is widely used.

Equipment configuration of 100t/h basalt crushing plant

Raw material warehouse→ZSW960x3800 vibrating feederPE600x900 jaw crusher→conveyor→cone crusher→conveyor.
The conveyors involved in the process have different specifications for different sites. The specific length and width are subject to the configuration plan designed by the engineer.

The working process is as follows:

In the first stage, the raw materials slide from the large hopper to the vibrating feeder, and the feeder feeds the materials evenly to the jaw crusher. The basalt materials crushed by the jaw crusher enter the secondary crushing buffer bin together;

In the second stage, the materials in the secondary crushing buffer bin are fed into the cone crusher by the feeder.

In the third stage, crushed material is transported to the vibrating screen through the belt conveyor. The finished stone size required for production is screened out, and the unqualified ones are crushed again for sand making. Users who need it can also configure related sand making machine and sand washing machines and other equipment.

Features of basalt sand stone production line 100t/h

1. The secondary crushing of this basalt crushing production line uses a short-headed Simmons cone crusher, which has low operating costs, good finished product particle shape and high output.
2. It is energy-saving and environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, with small wear of wear-resistant parts, long service life and high degree of automation. It is an ideal configuration for crushing basalt.
3. The equipment configuration can be adjusted according to the actual needs of customers, and our company also provides comprehensive services before, during and after sales, striving to meet customer needs and allow customers to create the highest economic benefits at the lowest cost.

People Also Frequently Asked For - FAQ

What is crushed basalt used for?

Crushed basalt is used for a wide variety of purposes. It is most commonly crushed for use as an aggregate in construction projects. Crushed basalt is used for road base, concrete aggregate, asphalt pavement aggregate, railroad ballast, filter stone in drain fields, and many other purposes.

What is the size of a crusher plant?

The amount of area needed for the installation of a crusher plant will depend on the size and type of crusher being used. Generally, a crusher plant will require anywhere from 50-100 square meters of land to set up.

What are the uses of crushing plant?

A Crushing plant is one-stop crushing installation, which can be used for rock crushing, garbage crushing, building materials crushing and other similar operations. Crushing plants may be either fixed or mobile. A crushing plant has different stations (primary, secondary, tertiary)
