Basalt is a basic extrusive rock with a chemical composition similar to that of gabbro or diabase. The SiO2 content varies between 45% and 52%. It has a relatively high hardness and is difficult to process. In the crushing of hard rocks such as granite and basalt, either the accessories are severely worn and replaced frequently, or the efficiency is low and the output does not meet the design requirements, or the finished product has a poor particle shape and cannot be sold at a high price. So how to design and configure a reasonable basalt crushing process?

Our company designed a basalt crushing production line for a customer in Guatemala. The process is as follows:

1. In the first crushing stage, a jaw crusher is chosen. The jaw crusher has a large feed size and strong crushing capacity. It can crush large pieces of basalt into medium particle size at one time.

2. In view of the high hardness of basalt, a cone crusher needs to be selected for the second crushing. In order to improve the crushing efficiency, an additional crushing process can be added. The single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher and the multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher are combined to break the bottleneck of low basalt crushing output.

3. If you want to make sand, use a vertical shaft impact crusher. Compared with rod mills, roller mills and other sand making machines, vertical shaft impact crushers have stronger crushing capacity, are more wear-resistant and durable, have a larger output, and the machine has a shaping effect, making the finished gravel and sand have better particle shape and higher quality, and the stone powder content can also be controlled within the ideal range.

4.At the same time, add dust removal equipment and adopt a closed production plan throughout the process to achieve energy-saving and environmental protection effects.
