What is dry Magnetic Separator?

Dry magnetic separator is mainly used for separating large and coarse-grained strong magnetic ores and fine-grained weak magnetic ores in the air. Compared with the wet drum magnetic separator, which uses liquid as a diluent to improve the separation efficiency, the dry magnetic separator requires the sorted minerals are dry, and the particles can move freely and form an independent free state.Otherwise it will affect the magnetic separation effect. Dry magnetic separator is suitable for refractory materials, chemical materials, grain and oil machinery, abrasive, ceramics, metallurgy, cement, powder metallurgy, rubber, ore and other materials in addition to (select) iron use, and can be used with Raymond mill, pulverizer, ball mill.

How to choose dry magnetic separator?

1. Dry magnetic separators are widely used in the separation of weak magnetic minerals smaller than 2-3 mm and the re-concentration of rare metal ores.

Working principle

When materials go through the permanent magnetic drum, the magnetic particles are absorbed to the drum surface and discharged through the magnetic product area. Meanwhile, the non-magnetic particles are ejected from the drum surface under the influence of the centrifugal force and gravitation and discharged through the non-magnetic product area.
